This unique cognac was selected for our first edition of 🌊Gastronomic Waves 🌊. On October 11 at restaurant Taratata in Hasselt, we presented the first ever 2 independently bottled cognacs from Delamain!The first release will be #43, this is the second one and is an event-exclusive release.At this exclusive event, we want to push the boundaries of taste and refinement. Every detail, from the carefully selected ingredients to the handmade porcelain holder by Studio Pieter Stockmans, that comes together with the bottle , contributes to an experience that goes beyond mere enjoyment. We only have a seats left!

This bottle comes with a porcelain bottleholder created by Studio Pieter Syockmans. We admire their authentic work and the Belgian craftsmanship that Studio Pieter Stockmans so beautifully represents worldwide. The iconic porcelain and their focus on sensory, sustainable, and timeless qualities greatly appealed to us. The art of enjoyment translated into a powerful design. With their creations, they not only serve Malternative Belgium, but also, among others, the Belgian royal family, national and international Michelin-star restaurants and renowned art galleries.

Cognac house Delamain, located in Jarnac, France, is one of the most respected and oldest cognac houses in France. Founded in 1824, but with roots that go much further back in the cognac trade, this prestigious family business has been guaranteeing excellent cognac of the highest quality for almost two centuries.
What makes Delamain special is their unwavering commitment to traditional production methods and their focus on only the finest quality cognac. Their philosophy is as clear as it is demanding: only the very best eaux-de-vie are good enough for their assemblages or single cask selections. A distinguishing feature of Delamain is their aging process. They use only old barrels of neutral wood, allowing the cognac to develop complexity and depth naturally. This is a particularly time-consuming and costly process, but it results in cognacs of extraordinary refinement.
The house is known for its ‘patience’. No cognac leaves the cellars before it has fully matured, which usually means they age significantly longer than the minimum required time. Just like the flavors and aromas in a fine glass of cognac, the colors blend seamlessly into one another, together creating a surprising harmony. The copper accents subtly refer both to the distillation process of cognac and to the warmth and refinement found in every sip. The blue refers to Delamain’s signature house color and Stockmans blue. Moreover, the artwork reflects the connection between gastronomy, cognac, and art; the pursuit of creation, experience, and the stimulation of the senses. The abstract wave movements offer a nod to the ‘waves’ and simultaneously refer to the unique interplay with gastronomic flavors.
