notes:
Nose: An elegant and layered bouquet with ripe pear and soft almond, complemented by accents of subtly dried white fruit. Delicate white flowers add a floral freshness, while a light waxy touch adds extra depth and complexity. Everything is beautifully balanced and exudes refinement and finesse.
Palate: Ripe pear is accompanied by warm notes of nutmeg and subtle nuances of fresh walnut, which provide structure and character. The texture is round yet precise, allowing the cognac to remain elegant, clear, and sharply defined at the same time.
Finish: The finish is long and refined, with lingering notes of pear that slowly dissolve into a discreet, elegant spiciness. The finale is pure and precise, without bitterness, leaving an impression of fresh finesse and subtle complexity.
about the producer:
On the banks of the Charente, in the heart of the Cognac region, lies Maison Prunier: one of the oldest and most authentic cognac houses in the area. Since the 17th century, the name Prunier has been associated with producing characterful cognac – with dedication and deep respect for time. Today, the house is run by the two sisters Alice and Claire Burnez, who carry on the family heritage with fresh energy. Their father, Stéphane Burnez, remains on watch as an experienced guardian. In this way, new ideas and generations of craftsmanship come together naturally.
The history of Prunier is literally written in oak. In the centuries-old warehouses, with their thick stone walls and blackened façades – the work of the “angel’s share”, the part that evaporates – the casks quietly mature. It is here that Stéphane learned the craft: tasting, waiting, tasting again, and only bottling when the cognac is truly at its peak.
Alice and Claire now carry on that same approach. They combine the tradition of their father and ancestors with a contemporary view of quality, transparency and sustainability. What remains is the core: craftsmanship, patience and respect for the terroir.
